I have been sick for the past 4 days. I must say it is about to drive me crazy having to lay about and rest, and drink lots of liquids, and take medication, but it could be a lot worse.
Every morning I wake up thinking that perhaps I will be better today, and then my fever spikes back up and I feel like roadkill and I have to wait it out. They say it's the flu, I have never had it before and don't care to have it again!
So I am missing church today, and even though it feels really strange to be home on sunday and like I am commiting some sort of treason..lol... it's not keeping me from praising God for everything he has blessed me with, and for keeping me from coming down with something that could be 10 times worse then the flu. :)
I found this hynm this morning and have been listening to it, it's beautiful and really reminds me of singing school. oh how I miss HH!

Tea Time
Why hello!
I know it wasn't that long ago , but I miss blogging.
I am so pleased I decided to start blogging again.
After writing all sorts of "important" things for English2, It's nice to just come on here and let the words flow straight from my mind without having to filter it.... I seriously wish my English teacher would allow me to count blogging as my main source of writing material.
Oh what fun that would be!
You know what really gets me through a tough study session? Tea.
Not just any tea, but a soothing, warm, steaming, heavenly scented cup of tea.
It really puts me in a festive mood, and fills me with a warm cheery vibe that is perfect when facing long dull hours with the books.
It helps clear my mind, and warm my heart! Oh dearest cup of tea, you have been my close companion during these past few days.
Do you ever enjoy tea? what kind?
I am currently in love with Chai , Mint, Chamomile, and Green Tea.
Oh. and I do love coffee mugs and tea cups.
hmm... think I might have a cup a chamomile before going to sleep.
Cheerio!

My Passion
"Whether you regard the horse with awe or love,
it is impossible to escape the sheer power of his presence...."
it is impossible to escape the sheer power of his presence...."
~Mary Wanless~
"Horses lend us the wings we lack"
"Riding: The art of keeping a horse between you and the ground."
"There is something about the outside of a horse
that is good for the inside of a man."
~Winston Churchill~
"No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle."
~Winston Churchill~
It would take me an eternity to explain why I have such a passion for riding horses, training horses, and just being around them. God has really blessed me to be able to work with these amazing creatures, and I love every second of it. From grooming them to competing in in high level shows with them, I enjoy it all.
Riding is an amazing sport, where you and the horse must work together as a team in order to be successful.
So I decided to just put together my favorite pictures and quotes, maybe you'll sorta understand my slightly big obsession. lol
all images courtesy of google except for the last 2, which are of me.

Grey Day
Oh my. Has it seriously been more then a moment ago that I last blogged?
It doesn't feel like it. no, not at all.
Most folks say " time flies" well, for me, "time skips by"
Some days the clock drags.... or even for weeks it drags. I feel like I have all the time in the world for anything, like sipping tea, watching old movies, reading novels, and daydreaming.
All of the sudden, "time" gets real excited and suddenly goes off skipping happily through my calender. Time is a rather spontaneous little thing. So you see, I end up sitting here, wondering just what it was I did the past week. I know it wasn't anything unpleasant, but I do know it must have held the majority of my attention for a while.
well, it appears Time has decided to slow down to a brisk walk for a little while. so here I am.
The other day as I was heading out the door to go to college, around 7:15, I had to stop.
A breeze?
Did I just feel a slightly cool-ish breeze blow by me?
yes. I did.
I felt it, and there was no humid, hot, after shock either.
Florida felt sorta different, like it could be letting down just a notch on the relentless heat.
It almost felt like the weather had left me a little gift, blowing that cool breeze by me, as if saying
" there's a possibility things might get a little cooler"
Right then and there I almost turned around and grabbed my fall jacket.
I have been dying to use it.
But that was a cool-ish breeze and I was already starting to get hot standing in the doorway.
I love the sun. It makes me SO happy!!! But I am pining for a dreary gray sky for just a little while. Not the stormy kind, but the kind that when you look out the window you know it's going to be a tad chilly when you step out. Or maybe even a deep blue sky with a pale sun, the fall sky.
That would make me happy as well.

Up and Down, In and Out
Do you ever feel like your brain is one of those airport luggage organizers?
You know, where all the luggage goes.. ..ok, so I've never seen "the room"
I just know when I turn in my suitcase at the airport it rides on this little conveyor thingy into a dark hole in the wall.. and I imagine that it's this room where there is TONS of luggage. and it each one is destined for a different place.. so there are lots of different conveyor belts all going in different directions.. and luggage is everywhere, going everywhere!
My brain feels like that a lot. like right now I want to blog about soooo many different things!
but oh dear I'm afraid if I did you would no longer want to visit this happy little place, since you would be bored to death.

Sometimes my mind races.. wanting to think about EVERYTHING all at once!
People I've seen, conversations I've had, dreams, things to do, things I forgot,
places to go, places I want to go, silly little worrisome things, deadlines,
prayers, happy thoughts, sprinkles, family, friends...
oh my... do you see now?
It can be rather amusing, a tad overwhelming, and sorta stressful- all at once!

So you know what?
This is usually about the time when I drop everything I'm doing.
put on some comfy shoes.
Go outside.
walk.
while listening to some very inspiring, soothing, classical music
and just walk.
and listen.
and breathe.
This has to be one the most easiest and pleasurable ways for me to clear my head and cheer up.
It works.
This I am contemplating while happily munching on a big bowl of "Life" cereal. how ironic.
