As I Sip On Apple Sider..

......I say farewell to November.
Goodbye beautiful month. You will be greatly missed.
November was a GOOD month, 30 days filled to the brim with gratitude, smiles, tears, changes, and enjoyments.

Some of the Highlights...

~* Did swing dancing for the first time
~* Discovered some really rad online vintage shops
~* Tried out several new recipes... Huzzah!

~* Completed the daunting, seemingly impossible, headache inducing, 2500 word research paper Touche'!

~* Celebrated the Thanksgiving Holiday with my totally cool family. Each girl contributed to the feast by preparing her very own dish, and the boys offered clean-up duty!

~* Went to Disney World. to EPCOT. amazing. with church friends. amazing.

oh I could continue on to list every little delightful happening, but I'm not going to bore you readers with that. I must admit this month was amazing. My Fall Break was MUCH needed, since Finals are coming up my mind has the tendency to go into hyperventilating-stressingout-my brain is going to explode-mode.
Break came and I spent several days relaxing, reflecting, and being laZy.
Didn't think of school once.
YaY
Thank you November, You were even so kind as to throw in some perfectly brisk and somewhat chilly fall-ish weather right during Thanksgiving.
down here in Florida.
My longing for a chance to wear sweaters and hats salutes you.
God is good. SO good.
I am blessed. SO blessed.
I hope each of you had a splendid month as well!
Cheers to the upcoming month. A time of MERRY happenings!

.Grateful Thankfulness.

I am thankful for oh so many things.
Things......such a shallow word for something that represents A LOT!
Since listing what I am thankful for would take up this entire blog
and maybe even the world wide web....
((ok maybe that was exagerating.. a little..))
I will just list some of my most important.

  • My Family
  • My Beautiful Friends
  • My Job
  • My God, my Faith, my Church
  • My Life
  • That Tomorrow is Always Fresh with No Mistakes in it

You will have an entire day reminding you to be thankful.

Just don't forget to be grateful the other days as well.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Terrific Tuesday

ah yes! YES! It IS that day of the week again. So soon? That is why it is terrific.
So, It is only 2 days until Thanksgiving.
A Holiday purely focused on thanking God.
In my opinion this is the best holiday of the year.
So along with thanking God for not only the obvious blessings,
but also thanking Him for the everyday things we all take for granted,
we get to eat food.
Amazing, scrumptious, tasty, delightful. warm-and-happy-in-my-tummy FOOD!
So I knew that this week's Terrific Tuesday item would be a TERRIFIC recipe.
Not just any recipe I must admit....
A recipe I do every year, and it is always a huge hit!
You should most certainly try this recipe of cooking that will please thy guest and sastify thy tastebuds.
Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake

Ingredients
For the cake:
1 18.25-ounce box yellow cake mix
1 egg
1/2 cup (1 stick) melted butter
For the filling:
1 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 15 ounce can pumpkin pie filling
3 eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 16-ounce box confectioners’ sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) melted butter
Yields: 20-24 small squares
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, combine cake mix, egg and butter, and mix well. Pour into the bottom of prepared pan and set aside.
In the mixer, beat cream cheese until smooth; add pumpkin pie filling, eggs and vanilla. Dump in confectioner’s sugar and beat well. Reduce speed of mixer and slowly pour in butter. Mix well. Pour filling on top of cake mixture and spread evenly. Bake 40-50 minutes (You want the center to be a little gooey; so don’t bake past that point!). Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before cutting into squares

*recipe secret...... the second time I made this I was going to take it to a gathering the next day so I just placed it in the fridge that night and planned to warm it up a little the next day. Well... I forgot to warm it up and it was served cold. It was AMAZING cold. I rather liked it, so I highly reccomend serving it chilled.

Euphoria's First Bloggy Award

Thank you EVER so much Katherine Sophia for your super sweet comments and most of all for awarding my fairly new-ish blog with an award! Goodness, I never even knew people gave awards to blogs and it is a rather exciting thing! It makes me giddy with delight.

What you Do:
1. Thank the person who gave you the award.
2. Copy the Award.
3. Post it in your blog.
4. Tell us 7 things that your readers don't know.
5. Link 7 new blogger as recipients.
6. Notify winners of award with comment on their blog.
7. Keep being Awesome. :)

7 things my readers don't know...this is tricky because quite a few of you know me inside and out.....

1.) I ride/train and show horses in Hunter/ Jumper and Equitation and the highest I have jumped is 4'3'' ( four feet and 3 inches)

2.) I randomly speak with a British accent ( among others), I have even taken orders at restaurants that way and sometimes I dont even realise it.

3.) My absolute very favorite body lotion/spray that I use all the time is Love Spell by Victoria's Secret. It's heavenly!!

4.) I have this thing for overalls. I love them. and I desperately want a pair.

5.) I cannot stand anything to do with knives or other sharp/pointy objects. I cover my face with a pillow whenever someone is about to be stabbed in a crime show or movie. It gives me the willeys!

6.) I will make cookies just so I can indulge in the cookie dough... only about half end up being baked.

7.) When I have my own place I shall have a garden of sunflowers =]

I am going to pass this award to 3 beautiful, talented, and goldy young women whom I know personally and have greatly enjoyed visiting their blogs. Each of them are so comfortable with who they are and really let their true personality shine through!

To Whitney ...she has the most happy and pleasant blog that I LOVE visiting!

And also to Max-Frederick. Just go visit her blog, it is creative, unique, and delightful!

And my last act of awarding shall proceed to Elliebird, her blog is quite the read , she has such wonderful taste and style in things that is all her own. =]

On a side note..... for those of you who do not know.. my computer crashed with a virus, so I only get on when this laptop is available and working. So being able to blog frequently may not happen for some time.. we shall see.

I hope each of you have had a wonderful Friday! Don't forget to smile!

Terrific Tuesday

Terrific- Frighteningly good; Astounding or awesome
Tuesday- the third day of the week; the second working day

from now on my friendly readers, every Tuesday here at Euhoria will be Terrific.

Yes, a Frighteningly good third day of the week.

I will simply post something that I think is terrific. or awesome. or frighteningly good! It may be a photo, song, story, poem, website, recipe..... who knows?

Today I want to share with you a TERRIFIC quartet. I love the sound of violins and cellos playing together in harmony, and this group takes it to the next level by playing all the popular modern day songs! Including COLDPLAY. delicious.
Let your ears taste a sample by playing the little music box I have in that corner up there.

One, Two. One, Two. One, Two.

Last night I went to a party.
A real. legit. party.
you know... the ones where they have dancing and music?

Now, do not be shocked.. or gasp in surprise once you hear of this..
But I have never been dancing. like real dancing. in my life.
Sure, I've danced at home, or been silly, dancing around with friends. I love to dance.
But with another person? or in a line with lots of people?
nope. never.

I was super excited about the party, but very anxious as well.
Some of you may know that I am not too light on my feet at times.. and extremely accident prone.

In fact, while getting ready for the party.. I raaan into the bathroom and the floor was wet.
I practically fall flat on me head, thank goodness my reflexes were working for once and I caught myself. I did end up with a very sore wrist.
Oh dear, not even at the party and I'm already tripping.

So first we all did line dancing. Oh my! You should have seen me! I was going the wrong way, misstepping, and stepping on many peoples toes. I crashed into a few as well.
It was extremely delightful tho.... we did so many different line dances that I was constantly mixing them up.. but it was FUN! I laughed so much. =]

And then, I had the chance to dance with a very kind, considerate, and brave young man.
He showed me how to do some sort of dance.. I cannot remember it right now.. swing dancing? I think. I have never danced with someone else, and I thankfully did not step on his feet.. but I am afraid I was so focused on just that one thing that I was quite a site!! It was pleasantly and surprisingly fun though! even though I did keep turning the wrong way.

I believe I am going to try more of this dancing thing... it was more fun than I had imagined... and so far everyone I danced with or beside to is stil my friend! thank goodness.

perhaps I will post pictures if I find any.

From the Inside Out

This, my friends, is the best fruit drink out there.
and it has been very hard for me to find lately..*sigh* I miss it.

Seriously, if you have never tried this, then go buy some tomorrow. If you like limes, that is.
It is so refreshing, so bright, and it really makes you super delightful from inside your tummy all the way down to your tippy toes.

And for all you vocalists out there, or anyone who sings a tune or has been to "singing school" should very well know that lime juice is fantastic for your song singing voice... it does WONDERS for it. FO real. It is just good plain good for your all around health and happiness!

It will brighten your mood, eyes, voice, and with that going for ya, why avoid it?

November Doors

Hello dear friends. How does thee fare?
November.
Already? oh my goodness! how fast fall is passing by.
How have all of my splendid readers been enjoying their season of fall?
For those fo you who have posted pictures of fall,
thank you.
It makes me very very happy inside.
since I shall never have a change of season
down here.
in Cuba....er.. I mean... Florida.
iT has been in the high 80's and shall stay that way for the rest of the week.
oh well! I can still feel the change in the air. A new month, a new day, a fresh start.

You know when you go through a really really stressful and overwhelming and seemingly hopeless time? Like a great big door has suddenly slammed shut and the lock is jammed.

oh my.

Of course, it's never as bad as is seems to be. but the feeling is rather unpleasant and gloomy and of course, bad for your health.

and then... people start to encourage you, and help you, and pray for you.

and suddenly you turn around... and ...VOLA! little did you know that there was a door behind you all along, and it has opened up, revealing a great big sunny garden filled with sunflowers!!

Well. A door has been opened for me, when it was seemingly impossble for me to ever even FIND a door TO open.

God is extremely good. and He should NEVER EVER be taken for granted. His blessings are everywhere, right under you nose.

A new month, a new door, and a fresh garden.
